ERC Immediate Life Support (ILS) Course

Immediate life support courses to the international ERC standard are organized by the Resuscitation Council as the only authorized and ERC-accredited organization.

Objective and Content

The ILS course is designed to train healthcare professionals in the essential skills and knowledge needed for the initial management of critically ill patients requiring resuscitation. Course Components
  1. Theoretical Part:
    1. Online course on the CoSy platform.
  2. Practical Part:
    1. Lasts one day (minimum 6 hours and 50 minutes, excluding breaks).
    2. Includes the following skills:
        1. High-quality chest compressions and defibrillation.
        2. Airway management and intraosseous access.
        3. Recognition and treatment of shockable and non-shockable rhythms.
        4. Decision-making during resuscitation.
        5. Post-resuscitation care.
How It Is Conducted:
  • The course is conducted through a combination of lectures, practical exercises, and simulations.
  • Participants work in small groups under the guidance of certified instructors.
Target Audience
  • It is intended for all healthcare professionals who have basic knowledge of BLS (Basic Life Support).
Duration and Certificate Validity
  • Kurs traje jedan dan, ukupno oko 7 sati1.
  • Sertifikat je međunarodno priznat i važi u celoj Evropi1.
  • Validnost sertifikata je 3 godine, ali nacionalni resuscitacioni saveti mogu postaviti validnost od 1 do 5 godina1.
