The EPALS course <\/strong> is designed for all healthcare professionals who are likely to be involved in the resuscitation of infants, children, or newborns, whether in or out of the hospital. The course lasts 2 to 3 days and covers the following topics:<\/p>

  • Recognition of the critically ill child:<\/strong> Learn to identify signs of serious illness in children.<\/li>
  • Assessment and treatment of airway, breathing, and circulation problems:<\/strong> Includes bag-mask ventilation.<\/li>
  • Intraosseous infusion<\/strong>: Techniques for emergency infusion of fluids and medications.<\/li>
  • Shock management<\/strong>: How to recognize and treat shock in children.<\/li>
  • Scenario-based training for managing critically ill children <\/strong>: Practical exercises with simulations.<\/li>
  • Basic life support<\/strong>: Fundamental resuscitation techniques.<\/li>
  • Choking treatment<\/strong>: Procedures to clear the airway<\/li>
  • Neonatal resuscitation<\/strong>: Specific techniques for newborns.<\/li>
  • Advanced cardiac arrest algorithms<\/strong>: Procedures for treating cardiac arrest.<\/li>
  • Defibrillation<\/strong>: Use of defibrillators.<\/li>
  • Post-resuscitation care and ethics<\/strong>: Care after resuscitation and ethical considerations.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>

      • Practical Part<\/strong>: 2 to 3 days (minimum 15 hours and 40 minutes without breaks).<\/li>
      • Certificate Validity<\/strong>: 3 years (but national resuscitation councils may set validity from 1 to 5 years).<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>
